Benefits:
PTO- only decent after 5 and 15 years when accrual increases
SICK Time- 1st day is out of your PTO Bank and then you can access Sick bank, everyone ends up taking 2 days off because of this
Career Growth- There is no ladder for this outside the Clinical side, you have no idea how to get from a 1 to 2 to a 3. They may promise they will finally promote you but its usually a lie until you put your notice in.
They do not value the people that have been there for a long time and what they did/do for the organization which results in high turnover and low morale. They will bring in new employees with bonuses, or higher rates and will do nothing to take care of the existing workforce. The only way you can get a promotion or raise outside your yearly 3% is to go to them with a job offer.
Work Life balance- does not exist, you are required to do on call with no clear SLA's or reimbursement besides the 3$ an hour you get for being on call. You are expected to work long stressful hours at times as there is not adequate staff to support the systems or the correct leaders in place.
Leaders preach change throughout the Health System but when you present them with change or try to do it differently ( even if its better) they will cast you aside and you be marked as a "trouble maker". The current leadership structure has lead to 2 Work Force Reductions ( LAY OFFS) in the last 4 years and inadequate staffing levels throughout various departments.
Leaders are quick to throw their staff under the bus or blame them for issues to save their own job.
Culture-Toxic
Accountability- This does not exist, leaders don't hold one another accountable or staff. The hard workers are expected to work hard and the lazy are rewarded for doing their job every now and then.
In the end you are just another number to leadership while they preach the opposite.
