Pros
My boss is a decent person, so I have it better than most. He makes every effort to give us the hours we want, without screwing us out of having a life. Except on third shift, you usually have at least one teammate to divide the work with. You don't have to stay at the register all day, you don't have to stock all day, or be outside tending the grounds. I used to work in the main store, and I asked to transfer out to the gas station because I get better hours, and better customers. They come in and pay for gas. They don't argue about the price of everything. Best of all, they leave their screaming children out in the car.
Cons
There's no cameras to catch drive-offs. Cashiers are supposed to watch the pumps while ringing up customers, but that requires looking in two directions at the same time. We're supposed to greet everyone at the pump, which gets pretty annoying. the pumps are arranged so you can't see plates, and if something larger than a sedan parks in front, you can't see the car at a further pump. most of the time you never see the customer's face, yet you catch flack for every drive-off. Also, Customers think you have far more control over the pumps than you do.
