Pros

Work from home; decent benefits package beyond hourly salary

Cons

Very high stress position. Will be spoken down to by colleagues in the field. Required to learn more and more business portfolios with no increase in pay/raises are minimal and only annual, not when given more responsibilities. Supervisor has only base-level understanding of programs we use, which makes getting support difficult as they have to ask someone else when I have a question. Consistently say that they are reviewing the competitiveness of our compensation package, but starting pay has not increased in over two years. Frequent last minute schedule changes and daily schedule is very inconsistent.

Pros

Generous, old-school benefits. Almost twice the PTO as other places I've worked, excellent healthcare, 401K matching, etc. Many high-quality colleagues and a generally mellow, polite business culture.

Cons

Multiple competing bureaucracies, internal consultancies, a computer-illiterate 'stakeholder' class with permission to disrupt anything, and perverse incentives driving waste.
