Pros

Remote, at least for now

Cons

A couple weeks ago, they put out a return to office mandate for 3 days a week for anyone within 30 miles of Cleveland. Other locations will follow suit. Today, they let go of 10% of our workforce. When I was hired, it was stressed almost daily during training that work life balance was something that they valued as a company. They implemented a new phone system that gives management better metrics, but people actually on the phone cannot even transfer... or have sound dampening. Benefits are very expensive and pay does not make up for it.

Pros

Been gone for a number of months, i can't think of a single thing

Cons

Lies to your face. Was told it was 100% work from home and it was for 2 months and then all of a sudden it's hybrid. And if you didn't like it, the door was right there. No exceptions to the rule. They just felt everyone needed to be in office. So that we could use the computer to speak to each other. Because we were all over the country in a building. When we could have done the same thing at home. When I was brought on, it was touted that the company has never not given bonuses or raise and guess what, all of a sudden, no bonuses, no raise, just work harder for the same amount of money, which was small by comparison to other companies in the area. Their adage was work harder instead of smarter, which goes against everything. I work for. Was more into numbers for productivity, instead of quality, And as an insurance biller, clean claims. Bring in money faster and easier. Then working on it after denied. In my twenty years as an insurance biller, i've never had productivity issues until I came to here.
