Pros
Loved the team I was on during my time at Mechdyne. Lots of fun ways to socialize with some really nice people throughout the year with various office events. Great WFH options/flexibility.
Cons
CEO is very much a know-it-all to a detrimental level. He has to always be "right" instead of letting the talent of any of his leaders or departments shine. This causes a ton of frustration and projects not really moving anywhere significant. Additionally, upward mobility is limited at best. You have to jump through a lot of useless hoops and do busywork unrelated to your role in order to "prove" you're worthy of a promotion. Unfortunately, you're expected to say 'yes' to every task they throw your way, regardless of if you're comfortable with it, because you're expected to be a 'life-long learner' that's willing to do and learn anything new. This is a nice thought on the surface, but quickly becomes toxic... especially when you consider the incredibly below-average pay for a lot of the positions at this company. Finally... I'll never understand why this company will die on the hill that they need to have candidates pass that initial survey/questionnaire. As someone who did it "successfully", all it proves is that you can take a test well. It does NOTHING to prove any of your skills or personality traits like an actual interview would.
