Pros
You'll build a strong foundation in growth strategy through frameworks like growth modeling, ICE, 5WHs, and first-principles thinking.
Cons
Leadership sold everyone on the vision of building multiple $1B+ companies at scale. The reality was that there was no proven playbook for doing it, and neither founder had a track record of building companies as CEO. The company got off to a strong start, but once things became difficult, leadership unraveled. Most of the leadership team left, many of the portfolio CEOs left, and the culture became one of constant finger-pointing. Accountability always seemed to fall on everyone else, while the founders rarely appeared willing to take responsibility for their own decisions. The company has since pivoted to a much more realistic strategy of building profitable businesses. However, the company still markets claims such as a 100% win rate and $200M in revenue that I do not believe reflect reality. If you question those figures, don't expect an honest conversation.
