Pros
McKesson is a top 20 corporation that's not in your face. In fact when I mention McKesson, more times than not, they have no idea who the company is. McKesson sits quietly in the background but carries a big stick. They were THE distribution company selected by the CDC for H1N1 vaccine distribution; because they have an enormous distribution network. McKesson is the supplier of pharmaceuticals to WalMart and 40,000 other pharmacy locations just in the US. My I.T. department has software and hardware in 70% of US hospitals. It's a really good feeling to contribute to such a large healthcare force. There are lots of divisions, products, and services that you can go practically any where your talent takes you.
Cons
There are frustrating times when it seems like you are furiously working to get a project done only to have your direction change. The phrase "Who's in charge?" is not totally inappropriate in some situations.
