Pros
The culture used to be very good years ago "Our People Are Great!" and "You Matter". Those days are gone.
Cons
Now the McGrath leadership has agreed to be acquired by WillScot/Mobile Mini. It makes absolutely no sense to sell the company to a competitor with a horrible reputation. WillScot just announced a layoff of over 1,000 employees. The acquisition price was ONLY a 10% premium and both company stocks are down significantly. WillScot's stated synergies of $50M savings. But what it really means is about slashing McGrath employees, eliminating the 25+ year dividend and sucking all the free cash flow to pay down their debt. Take a look at over 800 negative reviews on Glassdoor for WillScot - from leadership, to treating employees, to condition of equipment. Of course the McGrath CEO is covered with his golden parachute but everyone else will suffer - and if the deal doesn't go through because of FTC objections, the McGrath employees will remember what leadership did. The prior McGrath board and leadership would never have done this deal - it's simply about the numbers.
