Pros

Coworkers were really wonderful and inclusive

Cons

Mayk Ideas was the worst place I’ve ever worked, and by a considerable margin at that. Coworkers are amazing, but management is astonishingly disorganized and disrespectful. By disrespectful I mean the whole package: no respect for the work you produce, the career goals you may be aiming to achieve, and especially, especially your time. You want a work-life balance while taking a role at Mayk? Fuhgeddaboudit. Not only that, but management will attempt to justify their poor treatment of you by citing “how the industry is” or “exacting standards” (as seen in one of their responses below). If you value your mental health, stay away.

Pros

I really enjoyed my time at Mayk. The people are great to work with and the environment is supportive without being micromanaged. You’re trusted to take on projects, try new things, and figure things out as you go, which allowed me to learn snd grow. It can get busy, but everyone’s willing to help when you need it. Overall, a solid place to grow your skills and work with a team that genuinely cares.

Cons

You need good time management and ability to be flexible to succeed.

Pros

I really appreciate the autonomy and trust you get here. You can take the lead on meaningful projects, make a real impact and maintain a good work-life balance, which is tough in a client-driven environment. Leadership notices and values your contributions, and the team is collaborative and supportive. It’s a place where you can grow fast and take on responsibilities you might not get at a bigger company

Cons

If you have difficulty with effective prioritization of tasks and time management then the work can be a challenge.
