The pay is =/= to the amount of stress you have to withstand. I'm being paid 16/hr and constantly told to work harder and faster.
The managers are either rude, unsupportive, inconsistent, or like mine - absentee. My questions are rarely answered.
At first I was constantly scrambling to get things done to keep management off my back but now IGDAF - and that's not good.
The training was TRASH. My training was EIGHT DAYS!!! No prep for real life situations. For a job that is so complicated, uses unque applications, and full of strict rules due the sensitive nature of the work (handling patient SSNs, medical records etc) training should be at least 3 weeks.
Standards/metrics are elusive. Being constantly told "Quality Assurance is watching you" "QA is going to deduct points for that" left me thinking: 1. Who cares - are you going pay me less than you already do?? 2. What exactly does do QA want??
No one tells you anything. For example just found out if youre on time - you're late. I recently was told I've been late to work since I started because...I'm supposed to clock in TWO MINUTES earlier than my shift states. It might seem petty to complain about but these types of situations are constant.
