Pros

Good starter job for someone just out of highschool or someone with multiple felonies Pay is decent very relaxed for attendance

Cons

They will cut any of your benefits to sweeten the deal of renewing their contract Upper management is VERY disrespectful to supervisors in front of staff and equally dismissive to staff they do not take employees opinions into account with anything - LITERALLY REFUSE to take any negative feed back they treat employees like children - forcing them to play "review games" in team meetings and don't allow food or drinks at desk - not even a small snack they don't accept hospital or doctors notes for anything PTO is pathetic - you earn less then 3 hours a pay period and they will take it away for anything - even if THEY close the building and you have no choice

Not too many - a few misunderstanding s about training classes and roles but overall, not bad.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
