Pros
The best value of Matson is its people. Everybody I worked with was super nice, smart, and responsible. I was in accounting and I liked the fact they only hired CPAs for accounting positions, which created a good quality accounting and ethical culture. I hope they keep the practice even though it's hard for them to find qualified CPAs in the Bay.
Cons
They are tight on money. The compensation and benefits package is just average, but they have us pay for parking (twice a week), which became a problem for me when they brought us back to the office after COVID, and that's the reason I left. Also, their culture is a bit outdated compared to a lot of Bay Area companies.
