Pros
As a professional in the pharma industry for 10 years, I can attest that Massive Bio is one of those unique places where one can flourish, gain experience, and learn from scratch. This place is a school. The work here isn't an easy 9-5 job, but once acclimated, the environment becomes a unique place that surpasses what can be learned even at the Ivy League. While I agree with some comments about the "changeability of what you do" and "long demanding hours," many people don't fully understand the pharma industry's complexity or the level of competition. The team is mostly incredible, except for a very few who play hilarious, manipulative games (and they don't stay here long); the rest genuinely care about each other. People here are working hard to create value. The C-level gives you the place, a sandbox to show impact. They give you responsibilities and want you to fulfil them. Most are striving to fulfil their responsibilities, and ultimately, the impact of your work—helping cancer patients—is simply rewarding.
Cons
I will be very honest with this. If you are not a fighter, this is not the place for you. Just go away or look for another job. The environment is extremely fast-paced, requiring you to prioritize your physical and mental well-being. It's not suitable for anyone seeking a calm, laid-back tropical getaway where people wearing wildflower necklaces dance to ukulele music in the background. You need to be very active (almost hyperactive and extremely proactive in some ways), and it may not suit everyone. But as I said, the dopamine boost it gives you when you touch someone's life is invaluable.
