*Company is basically therapist operated but the administrators and management get the best pay. *Therapist are responsible for upkeep (sweeping, steam mop, vacuuming, laundry, trash,etc.) and of course bringing in the money because they only offer massages. *I watched as a coworker was scheduled (3) 90 minute massages back to back and was given a 15 min lunch for a shift lasting over 7 hrs with no additional breaks! I thought that was beyond awful, especially since I could also see 2 other therapists had room on their schedule. That particular therapist shouldn’t have been overworked like that but this is not an uncommon practice amongst many spas including this one. *This company expects you to cut your lunch of 30 minutes down to 20 in order to get ready for the customer, not realizing that the therapist body needs to recoup and receive nourishment in order to deliver great results to the clients. *Upon hiring, company speaks a lot on caring for employees but their actions show otherwise and it appears to be just like many companies… money focused without regard to the safety and health of employees. During inclement weather, the company quickly stated that the studio is not in a flood zone and will remain open without accounting for the therapist that were located in flood zones. A vast majority of businesses across the city closed their doors to ensure their employees were safe, including schools and transportation jobs, but not Massage Studio! As long as the business is safe, I guess the therapist that actually make the money safety and commute to the studio was of no concern… *Company has too many chiefs and not enough Indians
