Pros

The teammates were friendly, but they’re all gone now.

Cons

So many disasters I’m not sure where to start. I will mention just the tip of the iceberg, and will NOT go into details. - For starters The CEO and CTO are control freaks. They are narcisistic and have zero appreciation or empathy for any employee. They run the company by keeping a super tight and micro-managed focus on each and every single employee and every task any employee does. The employees have no breathing space. Guess what, they even installed a live, internet controlled camera with full audio and speakers inside the small office to hear and see everyone, and to give orders remotely and abruptly when they’re not around! And to watch any employees who dare to go on coffee break, to break down their gathering instantly! Yeah! That’s before they closed down the office completely to make you work from home so you pay for the internet and rent, and they don’t have to do so for the company office. - The CEO would disappear for no reason and for months without any news or updates, they CTO would call in sick whenever there are important updates or questions to be asked. - Employee churn rate is the highest I’ve ever seen or heard about in my life. It’s about 70%, and I’m not exaggerating. Pretty much most of the employees which once worked at the company are now gone, and the company is looking to replace every single one of them for most positions at the company. The company is not growing, don’t be fooled by the job postings, it’s looking for replacements for the employees who left. - The CEO and CTO literally race one another to see who can micro-manage and dictate tasks more. Who can leave employees with zero time to think and to squeeze them as much as possible. - I promise at some point they’ve ordered every single employee to work overtime (yes, ordered not asked), and not just any overtime, it’s work until midnight overtime, and promised to compensate into paycheck, but NO ONE has ever been paid the overtime they were promised and I’ve asked many. They never even got anyone any dinner for working so late. - Ideally, you would feel such company would be paying a fortune in salaries to do such things, right? NO! The pay at this place is so low it’s not even average, and they won’t tell you the real salary until they make the offer. But wait, they could offer you stock options, right? NO, they won’t ever tell you here are your stock options, not even after working for them for so many years. Sometimes, I heard from some people (after I left), that they literally begged for the stock options and for sooo long, until they finally got a tiny piece that is pretty much worthless. - I won’t even talk about the industry standards of evaluating a work place using terminology like work-life balance, CEO approval, recommended or not …etc. These criteria are for judging an average or more work place, but this company is not on the radar of humanly suitable work conditions. - Finally, the other ‘great’ reviews this company has as you can imagine are imposed by the company over helpless interns to help the company hire more people.
