      Pros

      Chinese boss distributes cash to staffs on holiday.

      Cons

      Sweat shop foreign work style. Extremely high turnover . People come and go like library. Don’t appreciate creation or change . It’s not suitable for people searching career development, as high up positions are all occupied by their internal family /friends for decades. Work atmosphere is heavy and CEO-dictated, and the fear of dismissal is what motivates people to behave in a certain way desired by the leadership.

      Although this is a family business, the CEO is the only second generation family or friend that works at Mascon. We did not lay-off anyone during the a Covid Pandemic. In fact, we hired more staff. The average tenure at the company is between the US office and the Asia office is around ten years, if not longer. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, we Ofer half day Friday’s, and brought in lunch for the whole company every Tuesday and Thursday. As the CEO, I have an open door policy and anyone can come see me anytime for any issues. The company has a documented and established STIP & LTIP (short term incentive plan & long term incentive plan) that is published every year and give to each employee and paid out once a year. We have always paid out on the incentive plan. Yes he company’s financial results are shared with everyone in the company so there is no ambiguity on how incentives are calculated. I welcome anyone with issues, complaints, or suggestions to share them with me.

      Pros

      It's a nice family business, therefore the culture is warm. People are supportive and willing to help. They usually have lunch all together twice a week. You work hard but also have space to talk to colleagues. The company usually organizes some team-building events.

      Cons

      In my case, I decided to leave the company for personal reasons and objectives. Regarding the company, processes are defined, however, there are some silos structures that could be a good area to improve.
