Not a good experience - CRM & Ecommerce Executive Marques Almeida Employee Review

Not a single positive can be said about my tenure at Marques Almeida.

Epitome of a horrid unprofessional working environment created and contrived from very close-knit immature management who comprise of the 2 owners and close friends & family of owners who seek to actively bully, intimidate, alienate and on many occasions terminate employment of anyone who dares to constructively challenge the business strategy or plans or in any way outshines any single member of management. I experienced and partook in 4 employment tribunal cases relating to unfair dismissal or unethical treatment to staff and I tool was told upon exiting the company after a short tenure by a HR consultant that management unsuccessfully sought my dismissal on 3 occasions for essentially doing my job and inadvertently outshining management. Profoundly profoundly disturbed by my short tenure as are many of have since left this shambolic disordered and wretched design-led company . Avoid at all costs to avoid a immense career set back that certainly in my experience, will blemish your cv.

Great atmosphere, very fun joyful people even through the more stressful deadline weeks. The workplace have tea clubs every week and celebrate people’s birthdays which was fun. In the work side of things, everyone is very friendly and willing to help if your confused with your jobs your given. You get good experience from being given the responsibility of sewing the toiles and learning new sewing techniques. You see the stages to making the collection from start to finish as the studio manager explains to you regularly what is going on in the stages of making the collection. Your not made work very late long hours through deadline weeks. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed and you are treated as a valued worker.
