Pros

I can’t think of any! And been trying for years!

Cons

The micromanagement and daily torment by the ‘Supervisors’ who don’t have a clue is obnoxious.

Pros

The work is challenging because the level of client service is higher than other agencies provide. Employees are compensated fairly. The owners are experts at what they do and everyone has access to them. My coworkers are fantastic people and unlike larger firms, office politics are not an issue.

Cons

MPG is a firm with a relatively flat organizational structure. There have been management promotions in the past however new hires are likely to stay in the position they were hired to fill (unless they start as an intern). However, it is a great place to gain experience.

Pros

I have been an employee at Marketing Performance Group for over three and a half years. Coming from a very large agency where I was strictly a broadcast media buyer, it was refreshing to be given the opportunity to work on other aspects of the advertising business. I immediately became part of the planning process and had direct contact with the client. To be able to be part of the conversations allowed me to better understand the clients and their goals, which in turn allowed me to work more efficiently for the client.

Cons

Marketing Performance Group is growing fast and along with that come some growing pains. However, employees feel like they are part of a team with everyone pitching in to get the job done. Although we work hard, it is a very friendly environment with owners who understand family is important. While there are times when it is necessary, they do not expect any employee to work longer hours on a regular basis. They want every employee to be able to have time outside of work doing things that make them happy.
