Pros

Almost none, can’t even think about a good thing

Cons

1) Marken hires you under agency contract for a long period of time. I got confirmed after 2 months that the permanent contract will be given to me, but only got it 5 months later with management saying that « it is a long process ». Few months later, finally realised that the purpose of giving me the contract later was to make me not eligible for the annual bonus. 2) no training provided and all the responsabilities are on the CRMs. No one provides the keys to succeed at your job and often you get yelled at by higher management because your client escalated the problem. No one take ownership of the various issues caused by logistic and operation teams. 3) no possibility to progress if you are not the favourite of the bosses or working 80 hours a week. You’ll be sold something totally different than the reality. The service in itself is so bad that the Customer Service department has to bend over in front of their clients. If an issue occurs, you’ll be responsible for it whereas it’s another department who messed up. As Marken provides a 24/7 service, you’ll be always on the edge and will have difficulties to switch off. If an issue happened out of your working hours, you’ll still be responsible for it.

Pros

There are no pros if I did not get hired

Cons

Pay advertised was not accurate * Lack of transparency in compensation * Wasted time and travel expenses I had a very frustrating experience with the hiring process. I attended the interview and was told my performance was “perfect,” which made it seem like I was a strong candidate. However, the role was advertised at a minimum of $30/hour, and later I was told the actual pay was closer to $20/hour. That’s a major discrepancy and feels very misleading. On top of that, I ultimately received a rejection despite the positive feedback. Between the misleading pay and the outcome, this process felt inconsistent and unprofessional. I also spent time and money on travel (gas) to attend the interview, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Overall, this felt like a waste of time and could have been avoided with clearer and more honest communication upfront.
