Pros

I have never been so hot and cold on a position before. When I started I was meeting with the CEO and had clear expectation, all the support I needed, and a company that helped people. - Most diverse staff I have been a part of. - Emotionally intelligent people to work with - Everyone was all in on the main goal

Cons

Then there was a new CMO hired. Suddenly I was reporting to someone, that reported to the CMO, that reported to the CEO. It was only a matter of weeks before figuring out my expectation was like reading a crystal ball and everything was a game of telephone. It was not long before there was a slight misunderstanding over a schedule I was tasked to create. when I asked for clarification, it lead to a weird declaration of "pulling rank" that made everyone uncomfortable in the meeting. I was accused of not doing my job for asking a question about the schedule. The proof being that the accuser was an "Empath" who claims to know I was angry and was actually trying to not fulfill their request. They stated this in the de-escalation meeting with the CEO who did not bat an eyelash at the use of this language. Soon after, I planned and organized an onsite visit and was forced last minute to go with the person that had a overt bias against me. I gave notice as it had become clear that there wasn't a resolution where I would be respected by the person above me. I offered to stay as long as needed to train and help the replacement, as it's a small company that relied on funding, and their purpose is important to me. They fired me instantly.

Pros

Full remote and company pays your healthcare premium with 64% paid towards your dependents. 1000 wellness stipend, $250 quarterly reimbursed.

Cons

Job description does not include actually work they require of you. You run the app and do a lot of customer service and deal with tons of tech issues. Unheard and higher ups go against values. Turned from member facing to money chasing. More time spent NOT doing what you are hired for. Told to just deal with it “corporate America” “Well it’s a start up” They do NOT CARE about employees well being and ALL staff are burnt out and looking for employment elsewhere. The people who do the most work day to day in the app and with members are treated the worst. Unmanageable workload. Caseloads over 150 and they have no plan to stop. No true peer relationships and members are a number to them.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We take any feedback here or through internal channels seriously and are actively taking steps to remedy some of the issues you've outlined with regard to the tech issues and caseload numbers, as well as forming a new team to focus on member support. We also have outlined steps to refocus our peer team on the peer relationship with members. We hope that these changes will make the day-to-day work more manageable. If you'd like to discuss more about your personal situation, you can reach out to the People Operations team to connect.
