Pros
The team I worked with and coworkers from other teams were wonderful to work with. Decent amount of paid time off. Complimentary drinks provided and convenient store located at corporate office.
Cons
First and foremost, bad/poor ratings at the store level are a direct reflection of how the corporate office functions. This company needs a complete overhaul on its leadership and it’s processes. Communication is a challenge for the entire company. As a result, direction is muddy and employees end up reworking the same projects over and over again until they can track leadership down to “figure out” what they really want. The amount of work load increases more often than not without being provided the adequate amount of support or direction from leadership; sometimes even without the proper technologies or resources to complete tasks as well. They believe in “stretching” their employees to do more, stay late, and provide better results without providing basic incentives that employees value. i.e. salary increase, title change, etc. They preach transparency and TRUST within the company, but actions from leadership and HR department do not back up these ideals. They are open to providing “constructive criticism,” but not taking it themselves. They nurture poor leaders, and look the other way when said leaders do something that may be frowned upon in any given situation. High turnover is a result of this. Perception is everything at this company. They believe that the amount of hours you put in, specifically working long hours at your desk is a direct reflection of the results employees put out. Work life balance is not a high priority as a whole , even if they say so. AKA, it’s an extremely gossip driven culture and people don’t know how to mind their own business. Overall, stressful environment with short deadlines due to poor planning. The company was like this even on the first day I started. And despite all the conversations and efforts made to try to improve on this front, very little has changed.
