Pros

There are some nice elements to the company culture but they’re pretty narrowly scoped to the interests of the people who run and organize them, although with good intentions

Cons

Any good reputation this agency has it earned years ago under different management. Nobody seems to have any idea what they’re doing and they’re just constantly trying to fill in the patches left in there organization left by the very high turnover. For every senior they lose they replace them with an underpaid junior if they can’t just quiet hire/squeeze existing employees to save money. Retention issues stem from juniors a the way up to senior management — huge red flag. There are serious issues with the current SVP and there are no other senior managers in the business within strategy or media to give their media team direction and ensure their clients are getting good work.

The conversation around turn over rates is an interesting one. The average agency turnover rate is around 30%. We are no exception to this with our average also being 30% which is a combination of involuntary and voluntary turn over, and includes short term co-ops . 15% of the turnover in the past year has been voluntary, which is In fact the lowest turnover rate across our agency since 2015. Those who left voluntarily worked with the agency for an average of 3 years, which falls above industry average. Turnover is a reality of any business. In some instances it can be a positive thing, both for individual growth, and allowing folks to find a fit better suited to them. However, It’s rarely without discomfort as it requires establishing balance for existing team members upon the exit of others. Agencies thrive on an influx of new energy, experience and ideas. It’s one fo the reasons clients choose external agencies to bring new perspectives to the work they do. When we hire for the team we look for values aligned individuals that bring new perspectives. Pros

Very inclusive culture. Great managers who are transparent about the company. Management listens to employees and is realistic about the business.

Cons

Career progression can be slow, and compensation is not the most competitive in the industry. The company also tends to take a conservative financial approach.
