Pros

Employment benefits and involvement within the community are definitely high points; recruitment of top-notch providers and the growth of programs over the past several years are assets to employees and the community as a whole.

Cons

There has been a distinct disconnect between management and the "front lines" for several years; interdepartmental collaboration is on the decline as there continues to be increased emphasis placed on revenue and speed that directly contradicts the motto / promise of individualized (e.g. personalized) services delivery.

Pros

The only reason for a 3 is because of 90% of the staff, (nurses, paramedics, most doctors and most lower staff) are GREAT!!! Hospital gives t-shirts multiple times a year, has a fully loaded snack cart, food trucks, etc.

Cons

Management is horrible. Legitimate concerns including patient safety concerns about employee competency are brushed off or ignored completely. The focus is keeping “warm bodies” on the schedule, not whether those people are actually capable of doing the job safely and effectively. Leadership across multiple levels avoids confrontation instead of addressing problems directly, which creates a toxic and frustrating work environment. There is little to no opportunity for growth unless you’re part of the “right” social circle. Some employees seem to keep positions based more on personal relationships with leadership than actual performance or qualifications. On top of that, the health insurance costs are outrageously expensive for what employees deal with daily.
