Pros
For those with entrepreneurial spirit and/or just starting career in healthcare industry it's a great place to gain experience and learn all facets of revenue cycle. Because the company is small, there is always something to do and you always learn something new. There are a lot of training and learning opportunities, and if you re looking to get certified in billing or coding the employer is very supportive. I made some good friends and definitely enjoyed working with my team.
Cons
Because the company is small and family-owned you don't get much anonymity. Everyone knows everyone and your work really matters. Everyone's outcomes are very visible which can sometimes make job more stressful. In this environment it is very hard not to take things personally.
