The team was great. Everyone including the founders were approachable and helpful when I ran into problems. The product is interesting and has the potential to educate consumers about debt and help them find a good deal on a loan. There is catered team lunch every Thursday. There is an option to work fully (or partially) remote.

The product is a web app. If you are not interested in web development this job may not be for you. The website is mostly written in PHP. This could be a deal breaker for some people.

Direct contact with CEO since this is a small company. Management usually understanding if you request time off. Stocked pantry. Weekly team lunches.

Was hired as a marketing coordinator but was expected to make outbound cold calls every day. Training consisted of a short presentation by company owner before they expected you to research high ranking people in top companies and spam them with emails+calls to sell advertising space on Magilla. Management offered low salary and promised commissions for every client who subscribed, but there were no commission structure in place and no mention of it after work started. Brought on as 1099 instead of W2, even though all work was done on site and company set hours, so they could save money.
