Pros
Mach 1 pays a very competitive wage for new grads. I have received two raises in two years. I liked that during training I wasn't babied and was expected to be up to speed within a couple of months. In the department I was in we would work on multi-million dollar accounts and earned responsibility very quickly. Another cool thing about Mach 1 is the amount of mobility you have, within two years I worked in 4 different roles in 3 different offices. It is a flat organization and you have a direct line to the CEO and executive team. I have heard stories and personally seen crazy amounts of advancement of people rising from the bottom to the top. You are rewarded for hard work. Almost every position has a bonus or incentive program tied to it. Also new hires have the opportunity to take two weeks off per year (plus two paid sick days I think?) and after your first year you get two weeks paid vacation and 2 sick days. The company is approaching 27 years old and still growing!
Cons
Long hours are typical in operations, some people are turned off by that, I liked the over-time. There is a learning curve in using our Cisco based software and in the freight industry in general, it really takes constant development. Even after two years of being here there is much more to learn.
