Pros
Good chance to improve/increase your skill set.
Fellow co workers are great people to work with.
Cons
The chance to improve/increase your skill set is brought on by high turnover and the need to cover for the departing personnel. Some of the upper management have an air of paranoia about themselves. Dearth of great leadership. There were one or two executive level personnel that were great people to work with, placed in an absolute terrible position to bring about change. They would have great ideas to improve the company and to create a wider portfolio (other than borderline predatory lending), and they were met with absolute staunch disapproval. The environment suffers anytime you have a lack of leadership, or support for good leadership.
Also, for a company that was providing support for a tribal lending entity, the personnel (particularly upper management) are LARGELY ignorant to the ways, history and culture of indigenous people. It was apparent in the speech and behavior. There were events that took place where things were said that made it very apparent that they had no idea about some of the history indigenous people have had in this country.
