Pros

Great location, right near the promenade

Cons

- Let's start with the actual office, no one speaks to each other, leaving the entire place extremely quiet and awkward, you can literally hear crickets. The exact opposite environment of a fun, bubbly startup - They say they are "flexible" and very understanding when it comes to their employees, yet I've never been in a office so strict and by the book. - All other companies in ad tech have relaxed vacation policy, flexible hours, etc. Not here! Although you are salary employee they are petty enough to count your time in/out by the minute, including lunch and bathroom breaks! - Everyone in the office is older, 40+ so if you are a young, hungry professional looking for upward mobility... dont even waste your time. I was sold on this family, happy hours during the week, flexible hours... its a bunch of falsehoods to get you in the door. - Micromanagement - you're every move will be watched, questioned and must be explained, regardless of your past work experience. When you know when every word in every email is being scoured and scanned it makes for a very stressful and uncomfortable work environment. - First in the space, now back of the pack. Other competitors are eating this space alive. Although MGID was on of the first to enter this space, the lack of creativity, ingenuity... plus the unwillingness to change and adapt has made this company mediocre compared to the others in the space. - Save yourself the time and frustration!

Pros

Large company. Global presence. Nice coworkers.

Cons

Review is based on U.S. operations (global operations may differ): Benefits and Paid Time Off: MGID’s benefits package is not competitive with other U.S.-based tech companies. The organization currently offers only two weeks of paid vacation annually, whereas most comparable companies in the U.S. provide flexible or unlimited PTO policies. Home Office Support: MGID does not offer reimbursement for home office expenses such as Wi-Fi, office supplies, or peripheral equipment beyond the standard company-issued laptop. These types of stipends are typically standard across the U.S. tech industry. Understanding of the U.S. Market: The company’s limited understanding of the U.S. digital media landscape has hindered its ability to establish partnerships with reputable U.S. publishers. As a result, the current client portfolio includes a disproportionate number of lower-tier publications. Language and Communication Challenges: The majority of staff members are non-native English speakers, which brings very valuable cultural diversity but can create communication challenges. Many team members rely on Google Meet’s live closed captioning feature to follow discussions effectively during meetings. Training and Marketing Materials: Internal documentation, training content, and marketing materials frequently contain broken English, which can detract from professionalism and clarity. Technical Support and Response Times: Since the support and technical teams are primarily based in Ukraine, issue resolution can sometimes be delayed due to time zone differences. Ad Quality and Creative Standards: The overall ad quality is poor, with a significant portion of creatives featuring clickbait-style content, typographical errors, or low-quality imagery. Improving creative standards would have a strong impact on brand perception and client retention.
