Pros
The Project Type was very interesting
Cons
Management is not open to suggestions. The Engineering group is what I would explain as Good ol' Boys. They have been around for a long time and they are not open to change or suggestions. As a design engineer, I was essentially dictated how to do my job, and there was no discussion regarding making any improvements on their design. If I did provide any recommendation, they would literally stare at you like you were crazy, and make you update the design based on their requirements.
On top of that, the benefits are not worth it. They require you to work 50 hours a week. The reason they require 50 hours is because if they pay you for 10 hours of overtime, then you kind of get close to the market value for the position. (Except, it's the market value assuming you work 40 hours).
Overall, I would never recommend for anyone to go there and work, unless you are willing to do exactly what you are told, and not even think about making any improvements. (Plus, the manager at least on a weekly basis makes the joke that makes it clear that he has devices in his car that he could grab in a heart beat if there was any kind of situation that required them, which doesn't seem like that should be a thing that everyone needs to know about, unless you have a confidence or power issue)
