Exceptional corporate communications - All major decisions are immediately addressed by upper management. Great atmosphere - facilities are superior (Global Center). Excellent Benefits. Good healthcare options - very low premiums!, 401K - match at 7.5% for every 6% contribution - that is amazing! Additional insurances available. The CEO is wonderful - John Friel is friendly, down-to-earth - he's someone you can feel comfortable walking with and talking to in the hallway or cafeteria. He makes you feel like family. Many employees have been there for over 10 years. Departments for the most part work well together towards the common goals of customer satisfaction, revenue growth, employee satisfaction. Gainsharing is based on achievement of the corporate scorecard. Progress is updated monthly. Executive committee members are committed to success and growth. Products and service are excellent - there is a definite pride in the business by employees overall.
Cons
Bayer is our parent company and rumors include downsizing /outsourcing/restructure over the course of the next year or more. Reorganization has moved some people into different positions where additional responsibilites are included, without increased compensation - called lateral transitions. Opportunities for advancement or movement within departments is limited. I'm not sure if this is temporary - we are all hoping for growth and eventual return to 'business as usual'.
