Pros
None, this place is brain dead with unqualified management
Cons
MDA is a paper dragon, all talk no actions; appearance matters more than results. Initially they will woo their candidates with false promises and the ''space industry" factor because that's the only thing they have to latch on. The space novelty fades quickly and the nasty reality sets in real quick. The government grants for employment ratio is being juiced to the max, hence why you see so many open positions at all time; the main output of MDA is bring new candidates in order to default on grants, The organization lacks accountability and capable leadership to deliver any tangible results beyond a PowerPoint presentation. There is absolutely no professional development nor coaching , promotions are given based on who do you know and who likes you (nepotism being a prevalent). The lack of experience of the newly promoted managers sticks out as sore thumb; Most of the skilled staff/managers leave while the unqualified get promoted, result; unfit managers for their roles who are unable to empower the team to perform but instead use supervisors as errands boys to clean up the mess initially created by the toxic environment. The managers/directors have clearly no experience or skill set to perform in that role and you can see it right away. Incompetence aside;I have witnessed several inappropriate incidents in which the managers made fun, belittled employees, shared inappropriate information in meetings with supervisors (ie private medical leave information) under the blanket; this stays between us. The supervisors are basically run their own little show in their corners with no support or any structure. The operations themselves is an embarrassment ; no proper training for floor employees, limited follow up , the quality system (or lack of) is truly concerning. Employees have no clear direction, no proper training.
