Pros
Best benefits in all of the medical center.
Cons
The emphasis on prestige through research has tripled the patient load which in turn has overworked and exhausted staff...almost to the point of costly mistakes. There's a reason MD Anderson is no longer #1. The turnover rate in most departments is ridiculous. Newly hired employees are left to fend for themselves without proper training. The 2-3% raise rates are laughable (maybe $20 extra a pay period), especially since most parking has increased by almost $50. The performance based bonus is a set-up for failure since more and more patients are unhappy with the care they're receiving. Morale is low and the pressure to perform on little support from management is high. Growth within the company is non-existent unless you're "in" with management. In the past 2 years alone, a number of prestigious executives and physicians have left the institution, some with little warning. Cutting costs comes in the form of not hiring qualified management down to supplies. Don't count on HR for help as the buddy system rules and cries for help have already been ignored.
