Pros

Had fun, met some nice people, and got to learn a lot while doing my job, but only because I pushed myself to.

Cons

Low pay, mismanaged company. It was clear each team had different goals, and wasn't able to come together on a cohesive product. RIP.

Pros

The idea itself is awesome. Connecting emerging/touring artists + venues/festivals + fans, using music streaming as the medium. If you are a music fan, especially a live music fan - or even just like a good business/tech challenge, this is a great opportunity to do something meaningful that will impact a lot of people. The company is now under new CEO leadership since late January. Staff is highly motivated and communication/morale is improving. Previous CEO rating is outdated. Primary hiring focus right now is building an in-house dev team, which is well underway - with a VP Engineering, VP Product and a satellite developer office in SF for folks who don't want to regularly commute daily to the home office in Emeryville. Co-workers are one of the best things about the company. Everyone is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Work environment is casual, but not sloppy or unprofessional. Perks like office lunches, massages, ping pong/pool table, snacks, concert tickets are great - with plans for more coordinated culture building on the way. Bottom line: There's a lot of opportunity here and things are looking pretty good right now.

Cons

New CEO is making a concerted effort to address past "cons" - so its too early to say much about this. Slow development speed (and all the inter-departmental ripples that creates) remains an issue, but hiring talented devs should help that a lot.
