There are absolutely no opportunities for career progression, and for this reason it felt like a dead-end job. My strong skillset including leadership, training and management was never recognised or utilised, and instead management consisted of under-qualified and incapable individuals who offered minimal support and could never assist me alone without involving upper management. Despite the qualifications I hold, I was placed in an administration role where I completed the exact same repetitive tasks for 8 hours every day despite being told on numerous occasions that this would just be temporary.
Each day will be expected to complete your job faster and faster and hold a larger workload when they put on promotional offers, instead of the company just simply hiring more competent people.
I consistently felt like I was being micro managed and even when unwell, management would have expectations that you showed up to work and suggested you collect your equipment to work from home whilst sick. You were also questioned and asked “what are your symptoms” to get the green light to log off.
This company offers absolutely no flexibility, and has even decided to let go of all of their remote staff. You will be hired and offered potential work from home which is only considered after a 6 month probation (despite being able to show competence in this role after mere weeks). This is completely outdated and shows how this company is taking large steps backwards.
There are no staff benefits, but lyphe will highlight that they now offer sick pay. This is the absolute bare minimum and should be mandatory.
This is not worth the money you are paid. You are much better off working somewhere else that offers more opportunities and has better values.
The staff turnover rates at this company says more than words ever could! Although I recognise it’s a startup company, this can no longer be used as an excuse for poor management, shocking workload and lack of staff and support.
