Pros
Lumana is one of the most energizing places I’ve ever worked. The pace is fast, but it’s fueled by a strong sense of mission and genuine customer focus—you really feel like what you’re building has a meaningful impact. Product innovation here is unmatched; the team is solving complex, real-world problems with AI in a way that’s both technically impressive and deeply practical. Strong customer logos early on and incredible feedback. The leadership team is experienced, decisive, and transparent, which makes a huge difference when things are moving quickly. Everyone is focused on being great in their own roles, but is also deeply committed to building a unicorn/the next big thing within the video security/video AI industry.
Cons
The same fast-paced and goal-driven environment that makes Lumana exciting can be a challenge if you’re not self-motivated or comfortable with ambiguity. Things aren’t always perfectly structured, so success here often means taking initiative, asking the right questions, and being proactive in solving problems. It’s not a place where you’ll be spoon-fed answers—you need to be comfortable building the process as you go.
