Pros

Pros = Not much / very little / zilch They seem to employ anyone so if you are down on your luck or recently prosecuted for drugs I am sure you can get your foot in the door. If you are French, you are hired.

Cons

The culture was based on rudeness and was derived from the top. If there was an issue, management or anyone for that matter was to blame others and not look at the problem and come up with a solution. It was just panic panic panic, which I guess was a result of many people not really knowing what they were doing. It had potential but there was no long term strategy or goal for the company. Very short term and money was the only goal. Everyone was in it for themselves and didn’t like to help out their colleagues. There certainly wasn’t any teams or desks, just look out for yourself. Management only had time for their French colleagues and would speak in French when talking about their English colleagues. Shame for them I could understand them. If you are looking to start your career in banking/trading/broking then this isn’t the place to start. Yes you might get a job but you wont learn the best methods and there is certainly no room for progression.

Pros

Lower level management was very friendly and extremely smart. The boutique and small company culture is very omnipresent here and everyone pretty much knew everyone. Very inclusive especially with after-work curriculum without forcing people to attend.

Cons

All of the managing partners were snakes. Very under-compensating, they were reluctant to part with any kind of money. Very hostile yelling culture that often went to physical violence. Company seems like it was built to die, they hardly hire anyone new anymore and a lot of people wind up leaving.
