Pros
A chance to work on a AAA game.
Cons
Leadership and middle management are terrible - Leads and Directors that should not be in there position, but due to "boy's club" mentality or bullying tactics to prospering senior people, the suitable senior people don't end up in higher positions. My time there, I saw several senior people come in, only to be belittled by jealous and egotistical leads, and soon leave for better positions. Not only do seniors leave consistently, but those who deserve promotions don't receive them even after being at the company for quite awhile, ONLY giving promotions when someone else leaves and the company gets scared of more people leaving. Sexism of upper management - I talked with other employees and learned of sexism with title and pay between junior employees and recent hires. Work Life Balance Hypocrisy - Lost Boys has a tendency to say that work life balance is important, but always force long/late meetings for employees. Especially to those who are east coast, forced into late PM meetings with west coast clients. Micromanagement and long meetings - There is a certain mistrust that the leads and directors have. Because senior artist don't stay long, quite a few teams are mostly junior artists and their work must be posted daily and reviewed every morning with long one to two hour meetings, that don't benefit the entire team because artists are forced to sit and listen to feedback that will not pertain to them. I do not recommend anyone working here for the gaming industry. It is the stereotypical game development team negatives you hear in articles about the problems of the industry.
