Pros

* Experience in a fast-moving industry * Hands on and generally autonomous work environment * Independent work environment

Cons

* Overwhelming client list. When I was there I had 120 clients, which is much higher than industry standard * Minimal direction to learn needed data aggregation tools (Python, Excel, etc) * Pay is low comparative to industry standard * Generally poor work environment, but it may have changed.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found LP to be a great place to get started in the industry. We have 3 tiers of businesses we work with: SMB, mid-market, and enterprise. The teams in each tier have different client levels. Every client we work with has at least a 2 person team, one on the backend creating and optimizing campaigns, and one person on the front, establishing goals and strategy. So you can effectively cut that client load in half as it’s a 2 person team. There are some people who perform better with a higher book than those with a lower book, it is very unique to the individual. What we never want to happen is assign a book of work to an LP employee who is not comfortable with its size. We monitor our team member’s workload quite frequently, and have been very proactive about adjusting book sizes when needed. In fact, we will move our strategists to the different tiers of business if we find that the fit is not right. Flexibility is something we take pride in. I’m sorry that we weren’t able to identify this issue for you during your time here, and we will ensure we are doing all we can to catch this issue for any current or future employees. We continuously survey and measure the effect of different client levels. We are also constantly adapting the tools we use and are creating new ones to separate ourselves in the industry. Last year we were named the Global Partner of the Year, and the Innovation Partner of the Year by Microsoft Advertising because of the quality of accounts we are building and our integrations with their technology. We feel our work environment is quite positive, and this is reflected in numerous employee satisfaction awards. We understand that this doesn’t necessarily apply to every employee, but we believe we have fostered a workplace culture that should be the envy of our peers. This is why we frequently and anonymously survey our employees to ask what we can do to make their work lives better. We listen to these ideas and strive to improve. We understand that no company will ever be perfect, yet perfection is the goal we are reaching for. I’m sorry that you didn’t feel like you were provided enough tools to be successful. I like the idea of more excel training. This is the kind of feedback we appreciate and utilize as we continue to develop our training methods every month. We understand that methods and strategies will continue to change over time, and we adjust our trainings to reflect that. We wish you all the best on your future endeavors.

Pros

Great team of people on every level, from the training to the teams we are on when we get started- everyone is so supportive and they really make the workday more fun. The training and the amount of resources available really do lay a foundation for success in this role that's hard to beat.

Cons

It's hard to say that there are really any "cons" because this job is entirely what you make of it.
