Pros

- Excellent company culture - Management in our office is always very understanding if we are having an off day or aren't feeling well, and and always ready to answer questions. - Company treats us well. Free breakfasts, coffee, snacks, etc. - Great people to work with (young office, all about mid 20's). In fact, the people I worked with were the best part of the job. - Advancement in the company can and does happen if you push yourself and hang around long enough. - The service LP provides does legitimately help people, and is very advanced compared to what many others in the industry provide. - All of upper management is very approachable and easy to reach.

Cons

- The job is 100% "cold-calling". You're not a "marketing specialist" as your title would imply. You're a tele-marketer, plain and simple, and trust me when I say this- people will remind you of that daily when you interrupt their day by either hanging up on your or telling you never to call them again. I'd say about 1% of your 50+ daily calls each day will go really well (on average), so do be prepared for that. - Hiring side of things (HR?) was not completely transparent or realistic about salary expectations. I was told that the average employee makes around $50k-60k. (Others in the office stated that they were even told closer to 70k a year). Is it possible to make this salary? I mean, theoretically, yes, but it would require a huge amount of deals which are already not the easiest come by in order to reach this salary. This isn't selling somebody a $20 bottle of perfume or something, you're asking clients to spend thousands of dollars (although some of the products are less expensive), which very few are willing to do, and very few even qualify for. In short, I don't think it's right to lure employees in by saying the average person makes 50k-60k, when in reality only the top producers of the company are even just barely scratching the surface of those numbers.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you are enjoying our Charlotte management team and believe in our product. We are proud of what we’ve achieved thus far in an almost brand new office. I would like to address your concerns regarding the expectations of your role as a digital marketing specialist. We take criticism seriously at LP and have adjusted our processes over time based on feedback from current and former employees. In this case, your concern is one we have heard in the past and we feel has been addressed. We try to make it very clear through the job description and initial phone interview that the role requires cold calling to generate leads and eventually close sales on SEM accounts. We use the term “digital marketing specialist” to convey to the prospective client that our team has been trained to understand and consult businesses on the proper utilization of SEM as a business growth tool. However, we do ensure that the job description is made clear multiple times during the hiring process. We will evaluate this again to ensure that this is the case, as we take all critiques seriously regarding our processes. At this point, we have a good number of marketing specialists who consistently make $50-70K a year, and our posted average of $40-50K is one that is based on actual data- we do not draw it from thin air. As with any sales position, there is a ramp up period where you will need to build a book of business to achieve the numbers that we quote. However, for successful marketing specialists at LP, this is not a long or grueling process. We are proud of our employee and client satisfaction, which we find to be second to none in the digital marketing space at our level of growth. We will look into your concerns to ensure that this satisfaction is maintained, and company culture and processes become stronger over time.

Pros

Great team of people on every level, from the training to the teams we are on when we get started- everyone is so supportive and they really make the workday more fun. The training and the amount of resources available really do lay a foundation for success in this role that's hard to beat.

Cons

It's hard to say that there are really any "cons" because this job is entirely what you make of it.
