Pros
Exposure to live projects and practical experience.
Cons
My experience was mentally exhausting and deeply distressing. The environment felt hostile, particularly for interns and junior architects. I experienced behavior that felt like harassment and intimidation.
There were instances of unprofessional comments about personal matters, including remarks about appearance and food choices, which were humiliating and inappropriate for a professional setting. Speaking to male colleagues sometimes resulted in uncomfortable name-calling and character judgments.
Late-night work was frequently expected, and declining often led to negative consequences. Emergencies at home were not treated with empathy. I felt threatened regarding negative feedback being sent externally, including suggestions that my academic institution could be contacted.
When concerns were raised, there appeared to be favoritism within leadership and a lack of impartial intervention from HR. This created a culture where certain individuals were protected while interns and junior staff felt unheard and unsupported.
Many interns and junior architects resigned within a short period due to the stressful and fear-based work environment.
Additionally, my final salary was not fully settled for the days I worked.
This was not simply a demanding workplace , it felt psychologically unsafe and discouraging for young professionals starting their careers.
