Pros

Lovely location with a nice office Some nice people

Cons

Be prepared for management to openly speak about employees both current and former in a horrid manner, usually with pretty awful language and have no shame in doing so. If you don’t fit a certain clique then you won’t speak to anyone, staff who have been there longer have an air of arrogance about them and won’t bother welcoming you in. You will be paid minimum wage for heavy work weeks The COO needs to have training on being professional in the work place…

Pros

Lovely view of surrounding marina and Portsdown Hill Offer apprenticeships internally Nearby restaurants, leisure facilities and parking Kitchen area for breaks

Cons

Often overheard customer service colleagues expressing a running commentary about customers they just spoke to on the phone, sometimes inappropriate or critical comments made The workplace is very exclusive and cliquey - if you start working here, do not expect most people to include you or smile at you when you walk past each other! I witnessed leadership team members openly gossiping about ex members of staff who were let go Also witnessed homophobic remarks from a colleague which were let slip Career progression within the company appeared to only come to those who were ‘pally’ with leadership team Minimal supervision once you have attended very simple minimal training, and then lack of transparency or support for mistakes made while learning on the job Lengthy administrative processes and long, inflexible hours for minimum wage pay HR act as though they have your best interests but will actually support the backwards culture as described above - I recommend remaining reluctant to disclose personal matters that they may delve deep into asking about, which they justify as wanting to support you No opportunity for remote or flexible working, even though nature of work could definitely be done remotely
