Pros

The work is easy and it's cool that you can get a job without a ton of experience.

Cons

I was told there would be room to grow with the company but all options seem to be sideways and not really up. You're expected to love the work even though it's clear they'd get robots to do it if they could. Managers/Supervisors are "cool" one on one, always available to help, but together they act like a high-school clique and you never know what they'll say behind your back. The job doesn't feel secure.

LinkNow Media Response
8y
The one thing that is great about LinkNow is that the majority of new hires (if not filled by an existing employee) are all from employee referrals. This would not be the case if the management acted in the manner you stated above. We literally have people from all walks of life, with a multitude of different strengths and weaknesses. We never judge a book by its "cover" and our main concern is providing our staff with a positive work environment. The unfortunate reality anywhere is that everyone is replaceable, however, we show our staff on a daily basis how appreciated and valued they are not only by verbal praise but by daily bonuses for a job well done. With that said, we always appreciate constructive criticism. Regards, Eve M. from the LinkNow Team

Pros

- There are a lot of great people. - Bright, attractive office space. - They'll help support your professional development and let people change departments based on their interests. - They'll hire you if English is your only language.

Cons

- Call center focus. - Takes advantage of the relatively captive anglophone market with much lower salaries than average for Montreal—but this is a common problem in the city with companies that hire monolingual anglos. - Family-owned company, with all the drama and infighting that entails. - The office is out in the boonies at the very end of the orange line. Could be a pro if you're a West Islander who drives, but it's a bummer commute if you live in the city.

Pros

Some pros of working here are, firstly, that you get to work from the comfort of your own home. Upper management is always willing to listen to any issues that you may have and understand how important a work/life balance is. They also play to your strengths, so if they feel like you would do well in another role at the company then they choose to put you in that role so you can fully excel. As opposed to other organizations that would simply get rid of you without a second thought, whether their reasoning is valid or not. My colleagues are great as well. Everyone is willing to assist you with what you need and management treats you like a human being and not an employee number. Whether you have extensive experience in the field of SEO or website design, or you're a newbie (like I was when I was hired), then I suggest jumping at an opportunity to work for this great company. After 5 years I still enjoy coming to work. Not just because of the job, but also because of the people! My bosses Mack, Emmerika, Eve, and Wes are great. It's a breath of fresh air to have an open honest and business relationship with your higher ups and not have to tiptoe around things like I have had to in the past. I would highly recommend LinkNow Media to anyone looking for a long-term opportunity, and I have!

Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons. So far the best place I've ever worked.
