Pros
Work from home, I guess… and a few good people.
Cons
Brookfield put their CEO and CTO in about year after working here, and that’s when it took a dive.
First things first, Engineering is a nightmare, every single codebase is ancient, and if you’re one of the few who got hired to bring new tech into the company… you are setup to fail. Are you a more junior engineer looking to grow? Not here you won’t, you will be in an environment of people who don’t care enough to update services on 10 year old versions.
PMs have no idea what they’re doing, and will throw you under the bus at any sign of trouble. Majority of the developers who have been there for years do nothing - save a few.
The cherry on top, is when they started mass hiring contract developers.
2 years of my life at this place and I’m worse for it.
