Pros
- Positive and supportive workplace culture, which is especially helpful when starting out in professional life. I have heard some bad stories about workplace cultures in other agencies and thankfully this is not the case at Lexington
- Good social life, with lots of post-work pub trips
- Variety of work across the different practices (healthcare, food and drink, transport etc clients across public affairs, communications and sustainability)
- Good opportunities for progression, and I feel like I've been treated fairly when it comes to appraisals. When it comes to this it's generally what you make of it; it is typically received well when someone wants more responsibility etc
- Colleagues are always interested to hear your thoughts and I felt like my opinion was valued since I first joined, which is really good for building confidence and judgement
Cons
- Pay for junior staff is not the most competitive. Realistically this is a personal decision for everyone on whether this is outweighed by good development opportunities & experience
- The amount of socialising at the pub might be a draw back for non-drinkers, but there's never any pressure to drink and I have always found people very welcoming/accommodating
