Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn and get certified in various things. Mostly great co workers.

Cons

Sadly I couldn't give this company a recommendation. Due to the severely outdated documentations, botched onboardings consistently causing everyone else's job to suffer immensely and various other little nuances that just made this place horrible for me towards the end. There was always some little thing the management would try to throw in to make our lives a little better though it ended up failing miserably and making things worse. We would even get written up or worse due to things not being communicated properly between management and teams which I've seen at a few companies trying to protect their hides when fingers began to be pointed. It really makes me sad to see that in a company like this as when I first started here this was not the case at all. But it seems their mother company began to put a stranglehold on things at some point. The place became more hostile, military and micromanagement oriented. Things changed hands and it became so stressful for me I would end up getting panic attacks just thinking about coming to work. That's when I knew it was time for me to leave. I can't say I'd know how to manage it better but documentation needs to be implemented right then and there before sending out an email saying this or that needs to be done now. It's bound to be missed by someone offsite or something or other. We need those processes in our faces when we need them instead of in an expiring medium since those get deleted out every 90 days. My second issue was the absolutely poor staffing in my particular team. We were so understaffed for handling 70+ customers that I was almost embarrassed to talk to customers about it. We were told not to as it made the company look bad but I feel like companies shouldn't lie about these things and to give their customers a better outlook on what we can and cannot manage. We charge them a premium so they deserve far better than we were giving them. They kept sending the people that fronted all of the calls out onsite more and more as well creating more piles of work for others and just gumming up the works. The technology and support division is an absolute embarrassment to IT jobs anywhere in this state in my opinion. The management needs to get their heads out of the sand on this one. I don't know if it's a money issue or not but get more people in seats so we can make those customers happy. Skeleton crew will only get you so far and stress out your small workforce. It's just common sense. I have more to say but honestly it just stresses me out too much to think about it so I'll end it here. I want to be done with this place mentally like a bad relationship. Onward to something better that wont treat me like a child and is better managed.

Thanks so much for your input. It seems like there was some discontent at the end of your tenure and I understand your wanting to vent . I hope after some time to evaluate your time with us less emotionally, you might alter your perspective. I feel that we have high expectations of our people but we always try to treat each person with respect and appreciation. I am very proud of the positive and collaborative culture that we have built over the years as we have with our Culture Crew, made up of employees who provide fun activities, internal communication, and active community involvement. Also, I feel that we always insist upon honesty and transparency in every aspect of our business. I appreciate your contribution, and I wish you all the best as you go forward. Thanks so much. Pros

The last year I worked at Lewan, was 2001. The company is still thriving, and doing “Big Things”. My oldest brother has worked, at Lewan, for 30+ years & wouldn’t dream, of going anywhere else. The benefit package, was excellent & to have “Presidents Club”, to work towards, as a sales goal, was challenging, but worth all that hard work, in the end.

Cons

I honestly can’t think of really any cons, it was a family environment & The camaraderie, was a positive experience. They taught me everything, I know about sales.
