Pros
During my time at Levy I worked with mostly very nice people, I felt supported, and I learned a whole new business. For the operations folks at the venues I think they are very satisfied with Levy (despite the hard work required) because it gives them the opportunity to work their way up when they may not otherwise have such opportunities...many have worked there for decades. They give you a discount on the restaurants they own, but I did not enjoy them, so it was not that much of a benefit for me.
Cons
The nature of the business means you always have emergencies and will be consistently overworked. The pay is not enough to justify the amount of work required. Note: I had a role in the corporate office, which is a very different experience than those working at the venues. For your typical office worker who can easily get another job, it's just not worth it. I also found it odd that as a food service company, they did not offer meals to employees on a frequent basis. I have had more free lunches at places where they had to order in or pay the cafeteria to cater...whereas it would barely cost anything for Levy to provide lunch since there is a test kitchen in the office. The location was not convenient to lunch options, so it would have been nice.
