Pros
Some colleagues were friendly and helpful, making it possible to get by in a toxic work environment.
Cons
The workplace was extremely toxic, with management exhibiting poor people and organizational skills. Leadership often relied on passive-aggressive behavior to make themselves appear more competent, leaving employees feeling belittled and undervalued. There was an unhealthy focus on control, including monitoring when you entered or left the office and how long your breaks were, which felt invasive and unnecessary. The management often assigned menial tasks that were outside of my job description, likely because they didn’t want to handle them themselves. This created frustration and a lack of focus on high-quality work. Long-standing employees who were closer to the CEO acted as if they were untouchable, making personal jokes at others’ expense and fostering a divisive, unprofessional environment. Stress and unhappiness were a constant part of daily life for many employees, which affected overall morale and performance.
