Pros
The job is rewarding; because, the work you do impacts every patient/customer- immediately. Managing in this production environment is more straightforward and transparent than any other. The more you put in, the more you get out of it.
Cons
Generally, in this particular field, labs are becoming more centralized for larger manufacturing companies. So, be prepared to relocate in the future if this is a career choice for you. This job will require you to work longer hours than you expect. If you're not in any way "mechanically inclined", this is not a job I would recommend for you. The learning curve may stress you out.
