Pros
They have fairly new buses that you can take home once you've established yourself and have a route. The Bus base, dispatch and office areas along with bathrooms are always kept clean. You have a lot of freedom since your not micromanaged in a way. The union contract is decent. There is vacation pay and holiday pay. If you have seniority and your school is closed for less than a week they can not bother you unless it's absolutely necessary and must go in inverse seniority order.
Cons
They have a Lytx camera system installed on your buses that sees and hears you, that also views in and out of the bus. Other NYC companies do NOT have this system. It will constantly notify you and THEM of things like "following distance, speeding", stop signs" etc...., even though it can exaggerate and make mistakes. Other drivers attest to the same thing. There is NO Pension. Other NYC companies with the same union have better contracts with a pension and better medical benefits.
