Pros
The IT department in JLD is non-existent, you will run everything in conjunction with Sunrise Medical which is a plus as it gives you the ability to expand your knowledge and do tasks that a manager may do. The early finish on a Friday is nice and you have the flexibility to do your own thing within reason and work from home on occasion.
Cons
Career progression very slow due to the nature of the company, no management roles available for IT as they want 'Juniors' to do this. The job spec that is advertised is that of a senior administrator, not a junior role and you will quickly realize that. HR is too close with senior management and doesn't act as an independent party.
